Victory in the Making

by Brett Fuller on July 30, 2018

In Colossians 1:27 Paul calls “Christ in us…” the hope of glory.  The phrase, “hope of glory” is a challenging concept for our minds to get around. Contextually it means, “Christ in us is the hope of things being better than we ever thought possible.”

Ephesians 2:12 says that before we were believers, “…we were without hope in this world.” Being without hope is waking up everyday with no view to the future. It is living life based on the yesterday’s unfulfilled expectations and fearing that today will be no different.

God saved us, and when He did so He simultaneously gave us a view of what the future could look like— better than our past! He has not designed our future to be filled with defeats and failures. Any temporary setback is just a cleverly disguised victory in the making. His plan is for us to go from one level of glory to another until we are formed into the image of Christ (2Cor 3:18).

May Jesus inspire you to believe that your life today can be better than yesterday and that your tomorrow can be better than your today. Live right, live well….
