TAMING THE TONGUE

by Brett Fuller on September 23, 2019

There is a cliché which says, “Loose lips, sink ships.” It was a statement coined to prevent a soldier’s casual conversation from being used against broader naval strategy in World War II. Thousands of years earlier Solomon said something similar in Proverbs 10:19 “When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.”

Loquacious people will always error with their words. James 3:8 says, “But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison.”
