In Genesis 26:4-5, God tells Isaac that He will bless him because his dad Abraham obeyed Him by keeping, "...(His) charge, (His) commandments, (His) statutes and (His) laws".
Interesting to note that although there were "charges" which God gave Abraham, there were yet no formalized commandments, statutes or laws. Those did not come until 600 years later with Moses. Abraham was 600 years in front of the curve by finding the heart of God and responding to His wishes before they were statutes or commands.
How focused is your desire to follow the Lord? Do you always have to be told the proper thing to do? Why not stay ahead of the commandment curve and develop the right heart that will always want to do right. If you do, God might not only bless you, but as Abraham benefited Isaac, your children could inherit something really great from you. So please, live right, live well...
