Responding In Obedience

by Brett Fuller on March 23, 2020

State law requires regular vehicle inspections for automobiles to be road worthy. The procedure mandates all cars pass an emissions test. If the vehicle doesn't pass, repairs must be made.

In 2 Corinthians 6, Paul speaks about responding in obedience to the gospel. In verse 3, he also refers to the by-product of our service to God by saying that the resultant should give, "... no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited." Meaning, gospel obedience should not be partial. Adherence to God's word should be complete so not to leave behind the noxious exhausts of selfishness, bad attitudes, hypocrisy, envy or lust.

Question: As you daily bring your life to the inspection station of God, do you pass His emissions test? If so, hallelujah! If not, please make the necessary repairs so we can all breathe easier. Live right, live well...
