Prosperity in the Harvest

Buried treasure carries a certain intrigue. The map, the search, the dig and the find each hold their own mystery and expectation. God views the potential which lies in the in the soul of the poor as buried treasure. In Proverbs 13:23 he says, “Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor, but it is swept away by injustice.”

The unplowed soil of the destitute is brimming with possibilities, yet injustice never gives the ground the opportunity to produce. Educational solutions, job skills, opportunity, benevolence and financial investment are all formidable forces against injustice. If the right recipe of the above remedies is mixed, one might just reap the bumper crop of hope and prosperity— say, in the southern region of the Appalachian Mountains or the urban sector of Oakland, California.

So today, let’s see impoverished people through God’s eyes and reap a harvest for all to enjoy. Live right, live well…
