People who are sight impaired develop their other senses to amazing levels. Their ability of smell and taste are greatly enhanced. They can hear almost 50% more clearly, and their discernment in touch can even distinguish between different kinds of apples. All these areas become greater strengths as a result of one major area becoming weak.
The apostle Paul had a parallel ordeal. The Lord allowed him to experience diminished capacity in an undisclosed area. It so disabled him that he begged God three times to remove it. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, The Lord responded by saying, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Paul then responded by saying, "Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Paul, a great man of God, realized that God's ability could not flow without a reduction in that upon which he would naturally rely.
Today, praise God in your weakness because His aim is to simultaneously strengthen other areas to give you off the charts kingdom productivity. Live right, live well...
