On the Way to the Arameans

by Brett Fuller on May 24, 2020

In 2 Kings 7:1-8 the Aramean army had besieged Samaria. Starvation beset every Israelite home. It is at this time that 4 lepers, refused to succumb to an inevitable death. Bravely they set out to the Aramean camp saying in verse 5, "if we sit here, we die... let us go over to the camp of the Arameans. If they spare us, we will live; and if they kill us, we would have died anyway."

Amazingly, as they began walking to the enemy camp, the Lord caused the Arameans to hear the sound of a vast militia coming against them. So frightened were they that the entire army scattered leaving all their provisions behind.

Lesson: While you're waiting on God to move, God might be waiting on you. So, if the enemy seems to have you surrounded and provisions are running low, start "walking" with the Lord and see if He might amplify the integrity of your footsteps so as to have the enemy believe they are under assault from heaven's infantry. Live right, live well...
