In the Face of Opposition

by Brett Fuller on December 07, 2020

Gideon was probably history's most unlikely deliverer. His nation had been dominated for years and he had succumbed to the illegitimate subservient spirit which made every Israelite feel second class.

Judges 6 details his inferior pedigree, his lack of confidence, his faithless attitude and his fearful heart. Yet God sends a messenger to him, who by calling him, "valiant warrior" in verse 12 reveals to him the purpose for which God placed him on the earth.

When you face impossible odds and overwhelming insecurity, do you have anyone to continually remind you who the Father created you to be and what He created you to do? If not, please ask God to supply you accordingly.

If you were privileged to have had someone in your life like this, but you lost them, may God help you to recover. If, however, the people with whom you are most close also fulfill that role, then get ready for the miraculous-- you valiant warrior-- because there's a lot of deliverance yet to be accomplished. Live right, live well...
