God Answers Prayers

by Brett Fuller on November 19, 2018

Ps 40:12-13 says, "For evils beyond number have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; they are more numerous than the hairs of my head, and my heart has failed me. 3 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; make haste, O Lord, to help me."

If you have not experienced the temporary blinding of the soul as a consequence of your life being overcome by the iniquity therein, you are one of the fortunate few. David, not being able to spiritually see what to do, groped in the dark to find his way. Lost, he resorted to his most familiar harbor of strength- his well intended heart, only to discover that too would fail him. Doubly lost, he cries out to God to deliver him from himself and thankfully, history shows God answered his prayer.

When you've been afflicted with temporary blindness and developed heart failure, isn't it good to know that God's power is available to both illumine your way and strengthen your heart. Cry out to him and watch him come to your rescue! Live right, live well...
