In Joshua 10 the Israelites encounter enemy nations. A battle ensues it becomes evident that there will not be enough daylight for victory to be secured. In an unprecedented move, Joshua turns toward the rising moon & the setting sun and says to both, "stand still". Verse 14 says,  "There was no day like that before it or after it, when the LORD listened to the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel."

Now, Copernicus of the 16th century informed us that it is not the sun which moves around the earth but the earth around the sun. So then, Joshua's request was not entirely accurate, but when one is accurately engaged in God's work, faith is more importance than dotted "i’s" & crossed "t’s".
