Finding Success Through the Progress of Those You Lead

Joshua was the successor to Moses. If there were ever a tough act to follow, this would be it. That’s why Joshua 21:45 is one of the more encouraging passages in all of scripture. Of Joshua's generation it says, "Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass."

Leadership finds its success in the progress of its followers. Any principal who finds greater fulfillment in his own progress than those whom he leads is more of an executive who leads than a leader who executes. Joshua led so well that the people experienced the fulfillment of every promise God made.

If you honor God, love people and develop spiritual courage, someone will be saying the same thing concerning the people you lead. Live right, live well...
