After God vanquished the Egyptians in the Red Sea, Ex 15:1 says, "Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and said, "I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted;"
Moses, not known as a lyricist or vocalist, wrote a song and led the people in singing-- interesting… The significance of the victory must have encouraged him go outside his, "normal” behavior to express his gratefulness in worship.
You know, I have seen the most reserve personalities act-a-fool when their team hits a last second shot to win the game, or when their son or daughter accomplishes an extraordinary task. Question: When is the last time a fresh understanding of the enormous victory purchased through cavalry’s cross, made you do something out of the religious norm? If the response is, "Never", or, "It's has been a long time," then today, let a fresh insight to that revelation cause you to respond to Him in the most appropriate way. Live right, live well...
