Doubly Bad Day? Trust God

by Brett Fuller on January 04, 2021

"Pits" are holes people dug in order to trap a wild beast or to hold something of value. 2 Samuel 23:20 says that a man named Benaiah, on a snowy day, defeated a lion in a pit. Wisdom would say this couldn't have been by design. Benaiah probably mis-stepped into a trap which had been no doubt re-covered by snow, having been previously sprung by the aforementioned lion.

Now, it's a bad day when one falls into a pit of which he cannot get out. It's doubly bad when that pit is already occupied by a carnivorous 500 lb. beast.

Have you ever had a doubly bad day? A day in which you fell into difficult times which were occupied by the enemy who was armed with rhetoric about how God surely couldn't love you if He allowed you to wind up here?

Well, if it happens take a page from Benaiah's life, trust God, and commit to not becoming lunch. Live right, live well...
