In John 4, Jesus comes upon a woman at a well. She came to draw that would meet her natural thirst, but Christ ministered to her in such a way that she wound up getting her thirsty soul drenched. In fact, the moment of refreshing was so fulfilling that she forgot about her natural need, left her water jar and went back downtown to bring her city folk to meet this One who gives unending refreshment.
Most of us have, or will have the occasion, to encounter Jesus in the most unlikely places. You may have come to the well of business to get a drink of significance. Or maybe you've come to the well of a relationship looking for a spouse to satisfy your parched soul. Well, as the "woman at the well" received more than that for which she came, so can you.
Today, let the Holy Spirit begin to water the needy areas of your life right where you are. Then maybe like this woman, you will be better supplied to help others get to where they need to be. Live right, live well...
