The day Jesus was crucified was an earth-shattering moment; the skies darkened, the earth shook and rocks split - even the veil in the temple was torn in two. But none of those awesome displays would be the most unbelievable thing that happened that weekend. For three days later, the man who hung on a cross and had nails in his hands and feet, his side pierced and his head crowned with thorns - would rise from the dead, having been resurrected by the power of God within him. He would walk out of his borrowed grave and appear to many, proving once and for all that the power of God is victorious even over death itself. In this one act - the resurrection of Jesus Christ - our hope for eternal salvation and eternity with God is secured.

On Easter Sunday, we remember the resurrection, and celebrate in the life-giving power of God to save us from our sins and conquer death, hell, and the grave.
