A Listening Ear

In John 21:4-6, the disciples had been fishing all night yet had nothing to show for their efforts. A man standing on the shore shouting encouragement, instructed them to make a small adjustment by casting their net on the other side of the boat.  The disciples, following the man's instruction, pulled in the largest catch of their lives. Only after the enormity of the haul did they understand that the person speaking to them was Jesus.

How well do we hear the voice of God through the voice of others? Are we willing to do the right thing even when we can't positively identify His voice? A listening ear made the difference between no catch, and an historic one! Let's be willing to hear the Word of God through others so we can live right & live well...
