AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA seeks to give children sound Biblical training through scripture memorization, games, and a presentation of the gospel. GCC offers three clubs: Cubbies for 3 and 4 year olds (must be 3 by 9/30/11), Sparks for Kindergarten through 2nd graders, and T&T for 3rd through 6th graders. Registration ($60/child) covers the clubber's uniform, books, all awards earned through the year, dinner, and the end of the year celebration. Sibling discounts are available. At least one parent of a registered family will be required to volunteer once a month. Further instructions will be provided upon registration confirmation.
