With the economy in a downturn, anxiety seems to be on the upswing. The stock market's wild point swings are getting so common that a 500 point seesaw doesn't even make news anymore. Folks are concerned about their jobs, the money they have invested and the money they have in the bank... In troubled times, never is it more important to look to Scriptural comfort.

For over two decades I have been privileged to be married to the most wonderful woman on the planet. I really think she is the best God made since Eve. She endures with my insensitivity, my inordinate workload, my travel and the glass house in which we live. She joyfully consented to adopting our 4 child. Could it be that the election of Barak Obama is the beginning of an answer to the prayers of the saints who picked cotton as slaves? A righting of a 400 year injustice? Could this election be the beginning of God answering prayers in connection with this prior sin? Who knows, but something really big is being fixed.
