What's Your Perspective?

Gaining the proper perspective on life’s events is critical to good decision making. If perspective is skewed, the information by which we deduce reality becomes unreliable and will sadly bring us to wrong conclusions.

When Jesus was beginning His ministry, a new disciple named Philip brought Jesus his friend named Nathanael. Jesus supernaturally conveyed His interest by giving Nathanael a vision of the future. He said, in John 1:51, “I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

Christ was referring to the dream Jacob experienced (Gen 28:12-16) in which angels were descending and ascending upon a ladder. Removing 1700 years of ambiguity, Jesus identifies Himself to Nathanael as that ladder. He would be the person upon which people would ascend to gain regular access to heaven—using Him as the “Way” perspective on life should obtained. So, when you are confused, climb the Jesus Ladder, talk to God and that should help you to really live right and live well…
