Stand Against the Enemy

by Brett Fuller on February 21, 2017

David had some epic men of valor. One of them was Eleazar the son of Dodo. 1 Chron. 11:13-14 says, "Eleazar was with David at Pasdammim when 800 Philistines gathered there for battle. At a place where there was a field full of barley, the Israelite troops fled from the Philistines. 14 But these two men took their stand in the middle of the field. They defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the Lord brought about a great victory."

To be one of two men who stand against eight hundred armed men is unbelievably brave. To do so and win is unbelievably unbelievable! Indeed the Lord was the accompanying warrior.

Satan's intimidation tactics can cause the finest Christians to turn and run. Only those who believe God’s territory is worth defending anywhere and anytime will war in the face of overwhelming odds. The barely field may have possessed strategic value, yet to make a stand against the enemy wherever he attacks is of inestimable worth. Those who do so will never war alone. Live right, live well...
