We must all be very careful during periods when God reveals the rod of His discipline. For when His restrained judgment is passed on anyone, He still holds the right to judge everyone. This does not mean we should always withhold judgment lest we ourselves be judged. Proper judgment is a foundation of the throne upon which God sits (Ps. 89:14) and is a necessary pillar for any well run society. Yet, improper judgment negatively impacts both the offender and those who wield the sword of misapplied wrath (Matt 7:1-2).
